Major operation for mini crawler crane

Mini crawler cranes are optimally suited for construction sites with restricted space. That also applied to the construction of the new business building in Ilanz in Switzerland. A Bau-Trans SPX527CDH mini crawler crane was used to lift walls measuring approx. 9 metres in length, some 3.5 metres in height and 900 kg in weight into place. “This machine is truly impressive and offers many benefits – from an economical and ecological perspective alike. The crane is highly flexible and can therefore be moved effortlessly. Since it can be moved with its electric motor alone, no emissions accrue inside the room. It uses up little space and – at 3.6 tonnes – is relatively light. With a maximum load capacity of 2.7 tonnes and a little tip on the boom, we were able to master even the low ceiling heights of this building,” says Roger Beck from the Liechtenstein branch. Additionally, an F-10TSX telehandler as well as two electric scissor lifts were used.
